Accepting these terms

Your use of ChatRandom depends on accepting everything written here, together with the policies we link to along the way, including our community guidelines and privacy policy. Read as a set, these documents describe what we provide and what we ask of you in return.

We update these terms from time to time as the product and the law change. The version shown on this page is always the one in effect, and continuing to use the platform after we post a change means you accept the revised terms.

Who can use it

ChatRandom is meant for adults. You may use it only if you are old enough under the laws where you live to enter into this agreement, and you must have the legal capacity to do so. Every session you open is a fresh confirmation that this is true of you.

You also agree to use the service as yourself: one real person, acting honestly, and not on behalf of anyone who is not permitted to be here. If we find that a connection traces back to someone who is not eligible, we close it.

What the service does

At its core, ChatRandom runs in your browser and connects you with another participant for a live exchange. You are matched at random, you can move on to a new partner whenever you like, and you can switch between random video chat, voice, and text as the mood takes you.

The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis for your personal use. We may add, adjust, or retire features, and we may slow or pause access when doing so keeps the experience stable and safe. We do not promise that any specific feature will always be present.

Acceptable use and prohibited conduct

Because you are meeting real strangers, respectful behaviour is essential rather than optional. The rules below sit alongside our community guidelines, and by using the platform you agree that you will not:

• Harass, bully, threaten, stalk, or defame anyone, or target people with hateful or discriminatory conduct.
• Show nudity or sexual content, or direct it at a partner who has not clearly agreed to see it.
• Involve minors in any way, or expose the service to anyone who is not old enough to use it.
• Break the law, encourage illegal acts, or use the platform to arrange them.
• Send spam, unsolicited ads, phishing, scams, or malware, or steer people toward off-platform schemes.
• Impersonate another person or brand, or mislead others about your identity in order to deceive or defraud them.
• Record, screenshot, or share another participant’s video, voice, or messages without their consent.
• Use bots, scrapers, or other automation to access, overload, scale, or disrupt the service.

Your conduct and your content

Everything you say, type, or show during a session, including on cam to cam chat, is your responsibility. You keep ownership of your own words and video. You grant us only the narrow, temporary permission we need to relay your stream between participants and to review it if someone reports it for a safety reason.

You accept the consequences of what you broadcast, and you agree that ChatRandom is not responsible for the conduct or content of the people you happen to be matched with. Reviewing our safety tips before you connect is a sensible habit, since strangers control what they choose to share.

Free matches, coins, and VIP

New users start with 5 free matches so you can try the platform before spending anything. Once those are used, you can unlock more matches by buying coins or by subscribing to VIP, which also opens up additional features.

Any purchase you make is for digital access on the platform and takes effect once it has been processed. Prices, coin bundles, and VIP benefits may change over time, and each purchase is handled according to the terms and payment details shown to you at checkout.

Moderation, suspension, and termination

We may review reports, filter or remove content that breaks these terms, and limit, suspend, or permanently end access to the service. Where a quick response is needed to protect people, we may act with little or no advance notice.

ChatRandom is under no obligation to monitor every conversation, and we cannot guarantee that every participant will follow the rules. Serious or repeated breaches can lead to an immediate and lasting ban and, when the situation calls for it, a report to the appropriate authorities.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

We work to keep ChatRandom running well, but we cannot promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors. To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChatRandom and the people who operate it are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses that arise from your use of the service or from your interactions with other people on it. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the smallest amount the law permits.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold ChatRandom and its operators harmless from claims, damages, losses, and reasonable costs, including legal fees, that arise out of your use of the service, the content you share, or your breach of these terms or of anyone else’s rights. We may take over the defence of any such claim, and if we do, you agree to cooperate with us.

Changes to the service and these terms

We may update, redesign, or discontinue parts of the platform, and we may revise these terms as described above. When a change is significant, we will make the current version clear on this page. You can stop using ChatRandom at any time simply by closing the site.

If you break these terms, or if we wind the service down, we may suspend or end your access. Sections that are meant to survive the end of your use, such as the conduct rules, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnification, remain in effect after you stop using the service.

Contact and full agreement

These terms, along with the policies they reference, make up the entire agreement between you and us about your use of the platform, and they replace any earlier understanding on the same subject. If a court finds any part unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
